INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION ILLUSTRATION

Make Your Own Sensor!

A one-off interactive installation created for a University of Tasmania expo, designed to get kids of all ages curious about science and technology through play.

Children could pick from a cast of illustrated sensor components, each with an absurd name and a life of its own, drawn from an eclectic mix of characters, body parts, machinery and imaginary contraptions. Arranged on a large magnetic board, the pieces could be combined in any order to "build" a unique sensor.

The brief was to make science feel approachable, silly and irresistible to young visitors. Mission accomplished, hopefully.
