The Splendid Gin — Promotional Illustrations
The Splendid Gin is a craft gin producer based in Cranbach on Tasmania's stunning east coast, with a brand built around character, wit and a deep love of place.
The brief was to place the brand's existing mascots into their natural habitat: the dramatic Tasmanian landscape surrounding the distillery. Walter, the distinguished kangaroo gentleman, and his companion, a shark of equally refined taste, are depicted enjoying a very civilised gin picnic against the sweeping red hills, still water and mountain ranges of the east coast.

All illustrated elements were created as separate assets, designed to be flexible and reusable across other collateral. That came in handy when I later repurposed some of the characters and botanicals for a second illustration that quite literally put Splendid Gin on the map, placing Walter and friends within a illustrated map of Tasmania.
