You and Me and the Space Between is a children's theatrical production by Hobart's Terrapin Puppet Theatre, weaving together music, narration, puppetry and live drawing into a single, seamless story.

I was engaged as the live drawing artist for the international touring production, performing alongside the ensemble as illustration unfolded on stage in real time, becoming part of the storytelling itself.

The tour In 2018 we spent seven weeks in Beijing and Shanghai, performing 56 shows and running workshops with children across both cities. Later that year we toured Japan, followed by a US tour across March and April 2019.

It was one of the most unexpected and memorable experiences of my career, drawing live for audiences of children in four countries, in languages I don't speak, and somehow the pictures always landed.
